ABOUT THE PALESTINE INTERNATIONAL CENTER

The Palestine International Center is a community and cultural center located in the heart of Bourj al-Barajneh Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon. We work to empower Palestinian refugees to uphold and defend the right to return to Palestine through organizing Palestinian youth and students, women, and our community as a whole. We also work to defend the civil, social and economic rights of Palestinians in Lebanon, including the right to work, and to reject the process of forced migration and displacement imposed upon the Palestinian people.

Our slogan, "From the River to the Sea," highlights the Center's commitment to the liberation of all of Palestine. We work to stand with our sisters and brothers in besieged Gaza, subjected to Palestine; in the West Bank confronting settler colonialism and land theft; and throughout all of occupied Palestine. We organize to free Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners, to uphold and implement Palestinian rights, and to achieve all of our national goals.

Historically, the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon have been central to the Palestinian cause and a center for international support for Palestinian return and liberation. In the past 30 years, the Palestinian refugees have been marginalized. However, the camps remain the witnesses of the Nakba and the protectors of the right to return. At the Palestine International Center, we understand that the Palestinian cause is also an international struggle, and we work to deepen the relationships between Palestinians in the camps and Palestinians in exile globally, as well as the international movement in solidarity with Palestine -- and global movements for justice and liberation.
