INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY

The Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon have historically been a center of international solidarity with Palestine. When Lebanon was central to the Palestinian revolution, thousands of internationals -- as well as Palestinians and Arabs living around the world in exile and diaspora -- came to the camps to participate in the movement, volunteer, provide services, integrate with the cause and support the Palestinian struggle. Since the Oslo Accords of 1993, the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon have grown increasingly marginalized, including from international solidarity and support, despite the fact that they are full of Palestinians participating in the liberation movement, holding fast to the right to return, and raising new generations of youth who nurture their Palestinian identity, belonging and participation.

The Palestine International Center aims to rebuild those bonds of international solidarity by building relationships with Palestinian communities in exile and diaspora around the world, and with internationalists for Palestine. We welcome international volunteers and delegations to come to the Center and work with our members on a variety of projects and initiatives that empower Palestinian refugees. We are also happy to speak and participate at conferences, events and programs around the world, either virtually or in-person, to speak about the Palestinian cause as a whole, the right to return, and the situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
