AJYAL AL-TAHRIR:
GENERATIONS OF LIBERATION
On September 19, 2026, over 300 Palestinian students and youth from the refugee camps across Lebanon participated in the inaugural conference and official launch of the Ajyal al-Tahrir network, dedicated to upholding and defending their civil, social and economic rights in Lebanon, and to participating fully in the Palestinian liberation movement, to achieve return and liberation, from the river to the sea.
The successful, engaging conference included town-hall sessions to highlight the concerns of Palestinian students and youth, panel discussions on key issues facing our people and our movement, cultural performances, workshops, and a closing session to commit to the development of Generations of Liberation.
The final statement of the conference is, as follows:
In the name of Palestine’s youth and students in the refugee camps of Lebanon, and in the name of the generations that have carried Palestine in their memory, identity, and struggle, we announce today the establishment and launch of “Ajyal al-Tahrir” (Generations of Liberation), a Palestinian youth and student network emerging from the refugee camps of Lebanon. It will dedicate its energies to serving our Palestinian people, contribute to defending their rights and dignity and strengthening their steadfastness, and connect young people in the camps with the youth of our homeland and throughout the diaspora.
We are a generation that refuses to allow the Nakba to be forgotten, displacement to become surrender, or marginalization to become the destiny of our people. We declare that our compass points toward liberation and return, and that Palestine—from the river to the sea—is the homeland of the one Palestinian people.
We are not establishing a network merely to add another name to the list of institutions. Rather, we seek to build a Palestinian youth path that is revolutionary and vibrant, organized and effective—a path that transforms young people’s energies into knowledge, action, and grassroots initiatives that strengthen the steadfastness of our people in the camps. If previous generations carried the banner of revolution, then it is our responsibility to protect that banner and prepare the generations that will continue along this path.
From the refugee camps of Lebanon, we declare today:
These are the Generations of Liberation.
A generation that carries Palestine.
A generation that safeguards memory.
A generation that builds the future.
A generation committed to liberation and return.
Long live our people, and long live Palestine, free and proud!
