PALESTINIAN WORKERS IN LEBANON

Palestinian workers in Lebanon experience institutionalized discrimination. Barred from working in over 73 professions, including the public service and all regulated professions, Palestinians are forced into unemployment, underemployment, and forced migration.

As a result, over 80 percent of Palestinians in Lebanon live in poverty. The Palestine International Center aims to organize Palestinian workers to assert their rights in Lebanon, including the right to work; to develop cooperative economic projects that sustain and support Palestinian workers and families; and to play their role as workers within the Palestinian cause of liberation and return.
